Peer Reviewer Process
Alaztha: Jurnal Kesehatan Nusantara implements a rigorous review process to ensure the quality and integrity of published articles. This process is designed to provide constructive feedback to authors while maintaining high academic and publication ethics standards.
Initial Submission Screening
After submission, the editorial team conducts an initial review to verify the manuscript’s suitability with the journal scope, compliance with author guidelines, and adherence to publication ethics standards, including plagiarism screening. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be returned to the authors for revision before further processing.
Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript topic. Alaztha: Jurnal Kesehatan Nusantara applies a double-blind peer review system in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other. This system ensures that the evaluation process is conducted objectively based on the scientific quality of the manuscript.
Reviewer Feedback
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:

- Relevance
- Contribution to the field of study
Reviewers may provide one of the following recommendations:
Accept
The manuscript is accepted for publication with or without minor revisions.
Minor Revision
The manuscript requires minor improvements before acceptance.
Major Revision
The manuscript requires substantial revisions and will be reconsidered after revision.
Reject
The manuscript does not meet publication standards and cannot be processed further.
Editorial Decision
Based on reviewer recommendations and comments, the editor will make the final decision regarding the manuscript, including:
Accept Submission
The manuscript is accepted for publication.
Revise and Resubmit
The manuscript requires further revisions before acceptance.
Reject Submission
The manuscript is not suitable for publication in Alaztha: Jurnal Kesehatan Nusantara.
Authors will be informed of the editorial decision and, when necessary, will receive reviewer comments for revision purposes.
Revision Stage
If revisions are required, authors are given the opportunity to revise and resubmit the manuscript. Revised manuscripts must be accompanied by responses to reviewer comments explaining the changes made. The revised manuscript will then be re-evaluated by the editorial team and, if necessary, returned to the same or new reviewers for further review.
Final Acceptance and Copyediting
Once the manuscript fulfills all journal standards, it will be accepted for publication. The manuscript will then proceed to the copyediting stage to ensure clarity, consistency, and conformity with journal formatting requirements.
Publication
Accepted articles will be scheduled for publication in an upcoming issue of Alaztha: Jurnal Kesehatan Nusantara. Authors will be informed of the publication schedule and will receive page proofs for final approval before online and print publication.
